Subaru Extra-S from 14K-24K miles, very marginal improvement compared to OEM fill. Second Extra-S from 24 to 38 K miles, a little bit better but still notchy and hard to shift to 1st. I tried 3Qt Motul and 1 Qt redline and it still notchy. Removed at 50K due to concern with slime build up if used for extended time. Mobil 1 and Valvoline both say their synthetic 75w90 with limited slip additive would work fine. That doesn't seem to make sense to me. I'd like to hear from a technical stand point how that is correct or if it isn't how it's not.
