I was on the highway, with cruise control on, and then all of sudden my Taurus shakes a bit, and then the speedometer drops to zero. The car keeps going, the RPMs are still fine. Drive a little more and the needle jumps up, then comes back down to zero.

The A/C blows cold but only blows thru the defroster vents. Will not blow out forward dash vents. When Auto or Max Air button is pressed only blows out defroster vents. Climate Control Model. No air passes thru forward vents.WAIT one minute to allow the system to reset and RECONNECT the electrical connectors. RETEST the system.
