amishdonkeys Discussion starter. 247 posts · Joined 2009. #1 · Oct 9, 2011. Have a 1995 379 Pete w/ a 12.7L 60 series detroit. Jake brake and cruise control doesn't work. There is power to dash switchs for jake and cruise. Power to the clutch sensor. Clutch sensor was tested and checked out OK.Had one that was cracked, and It would cut out and act like it shut off at random. All the lights would flash, check engine light was on and everything. The other is sometimes used by the OEM to send a vehicle speed signal to the speedometer.With the sensor removed don't forget to check the tail shaft tone wheel for being tight.
