Brush strokes are usually always a sign your paints are too thick, assuming you are just using GW paints I would start doing almost a 50/50 mix and working your way from there. Other things I would suggest is too dry brush and/or edge highlight the carapace so its not just one solid color and itll help break the model up.Ordinarily I wouldn't be painting the same miniatures back to back like this, but early last week I put my back out - ow!
