Mar 6, 2013 · Another Major Modification on 8N. Over the past couple years I have made some modifications to my '49 8N that improved the performance and service ability. My first modification was to remove the old Marvel-Schebler TSX-33 carburetor and replace it with a Zenith #13876 carburetor that improved the 8N performance idling and 100%over the TSX-33. The straight 6 "engine" was rated 95 HP & ~200 lb ft torque. Putting this in a 8N funk does not give you a 95 HP tractor (John Deere 4020 is a 95 HP tractor for comparison sake).
