1.6L (D16Y5, D16Y7 and D16Y8) ENGINES Tighten the cylinder head bolts

A follow up to one of my videos about the torque sequence of the head studs. Pulled straight from the Haines manual1) Hash Marks Count. As a general rule, Dr. Diesel™ says the more hash marks on the top of a bolt, the higher the grade. Grade 5 bolts have three hash marks on top and Grade 8 bolts have five hash marks. The chart below shows how to tell a Grade 5 bolt from a Grade 8 bolt. 2) Torque Values: Part One.Tighten all bolt 1/4 turn in order. 5. Tighten all bolts an additional 1/4 turn in order.
