Yes, I always build extra castles where possible. It needs to be a county that has at least 4 holding slots to be able to build a castle. You can fit 7 or 8 castles into some 2 county combos. My biggest complaint about Mongols is the lack of terrain for their horse-archers. Horse archers are still really good. Especially in steppe. Well, by far in steppe. But if you look at Mongolia there is maybe 3 or 4 counties that actually have this enormous terrain boost. The rest is mountain/taiga mostly with some hills.Intro.
