IF you abs, vdc off, or slip lights are on check these things... 1. Check brake fluid. 2. Check all abs sensors and clips to make sure the wires are not pulled out of plug. 3. check abs sensors on all wheel bearings. The reason i am posting this is because i ran into the same problem with my titan.Things to check are 1). Battery Voltage, 2). Battery Cables, 3) Crank Angle Sensors, 4). Cam Position Sensors, and 5). Maybe your ABS unit...ABS unit can kick a VDC & Slip Light. Your Mass Airflow sensor issue could be due to 1). Using a aftermarket Mass Airflow Sensor - they don't work as good as OEM. 2).But from what I've read the VDC/Slip light can illuminate and mine did. My slip/ABS lights have been going on and off for about a year now with no noticeable problems other than the ABS being overly sensitive at times. For instance, when I'll come to a stop on dry roads and the lights are off the ABS will engage. Usually after that the SLIP/ABS lights will stay on.The truck reads a sensor firing abnormally, or your CEL turning on, and disables the VDC in case there's a computer issue or something. After you've cleared codes/reset the CEL you have to manually reset the limp-home function by recalibrating the VDC.
